I was charmed to notice today that the babies are less happy without me in the playpen with them, as well as being better with the blankie mountain in there. They were much less settled as I took the four week photos for the younger litter, and left me quite a mess to clear up.
The kittens also seem to have realised that there is freedom outside the walls of the playpen, so spent much of their time jumping for freedom. They only get about halfway up and splat into the walls at this stage, but the more they practice the higher they get. In essence, I’m developing specially trained escape rats for my pet homes – they’ll love me for that!
